The 2025 Toyota Prius remains unchanged except for the The new Nightshade range and small price increases.
Prius LE grade base now it costs $29,485 including a mandatory fee of $1,135—$400 more there is a comparable 2024 model. The price of the Prius XLE placed just above it rises by the same amount, to $32,930. Toyota also raised the price of the top-grade Limited—which adds features like heated and ventilated front seats and a larger touchscreen—by $400, to $36,500.
Prius Nightshade based on XLE and features the same, mostly cosmetic upgrades as other Toyota Nightshade models. Starting at $33,630 destination, it adds 19-inch black wheels, and black exterior paint.
2025 Toyota Prius
Introduced for the 2023 model year in a more stylish manner than its predecessor, the Prius continues to combine a 2.0-liter inline-4 with Toyota's planetary-gear hybrid system. Front-wheel drive is standard, and an all-wheel drive system that uses a dedicated electric motor to drive the rear wheels is a $1,400 option.
Front-wheel drive models produce 194 hp, while all-wheel drive models are rated at 196 hp. EPA-fuel-economy-ratings come out high 57 mpg combined for and 54 mpg combined on all-wheel-drive models—expected to be unchanged.
Toyota also continues to offer a plug-in hybrid powertrain option, which in 2025 will be badged as the Prius Plug-In Hybrid following Toyota's decision to drop the Prime badge on both that model and the plug-in hybrid version of the -RAV4. This model is otherwise unchanged, however, still returning 44 miles of EPA electric range and 51 mpg combined thereafter, along with a quick 6.6-second 0-60 mph time.
