The Genesis GV60 is about to receive its first major facelift, which will include a new dashboard display and minor styling changes.
Genesis reveals the updated GV60 in South Korea's domestic market on Monday. Sales are expected to begin in that market later this quarter, and while a US launch date has not been discussed, the refreshed GV60 is expected to arrive here as a 2026 model.
As noted by spy photos of hidden prototypes, i style changes are relatively small. The front fascia is new, while the headlights retain the same shape but get new interiors with smaller LED elements. A new 21-inch five-spoke wheel design will be available, and other exterior highlights—such as the wheel arch cladding and the lower part of the rear fascia—are now body-colored.
2026 Genesis GV60
Inside, a 27-inch dashboard display it takes practically the same place as the previous interface, but the Genesis has removed the bezel that previously separated the instrument cluster from the touchscreen elements. Some features of the thoughtfully designed cabin, such as the crystal-orb shifter, remain.
Genesis did not discuss the features, but a major change may come in the form of 84-kwh packreplacing the 77-kwh pack currently used on rear-wheel-drive single-motor models and the 77.4-kwh pack used on dual-motor all-wheel-drive models. The big package has been launched on the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6, which share the GV60's E-GMP platform.
Also unannounced at this time, but expected as part of the GV60 refresh, is the Magma performance model, the first of the new model to compete with BMW M and Mercedes-AMG. Genesis showed off the GV60 Magma concept at the 2024 New York auto show, and confirmed a production version later in the year.
2026 Genesis GV60
The Magma will likely exceed the 429-hp output of the current GV60 Performance. The Genesis also offers a non-all-wheel-drive variant rated at 314 hp. Rear-wheel drive models are rated at 225 hp, but offer more EPA range than any current GV60 configuration, at 294 miles.
The GV60m arrived in the US as a 2023 model and was the last car on the 2023 Car Reports Best Buy list. A rear-wheel-drive powertrain was introduced in 2024, followed by a less expensive all-wheel drive version in 2025. Outside of the US, the GV60 is also the first EV to offer wireless charging, though it's unclear what that feature will be. do it here.
