AC Future unveils 3 first products, including a mobile home [Video]

Italian design firm Pininfarina and sustainable living solutions developer AC Future have expanded on an existing partnership and delivered an exciting debut at CES for the second year in a row. Designed by Pininfarina, AC Future presented the first three products it aims to bring to the market, including the “AI Transformer Home Unit,” “AI Transformer Home Trailer,” and “AI Transformer Home Drivable.”

AC Future is an Irvine, California-based organization that emerged from the 2023 project. According to the company, its mission is to “start a revolution in sustainable living by creating innovative, flexible homes that seamlessly integrate modern design, eco-conscious principles, and cutting-edge AI technology.”

That journey begins with AC Future's flagship product, the AI-Transformable Home, a solar electric RV. The AI-TH project was developed with the help of the famous design firm Pininfarina and was presented in January 2024.

AC Future first unveiled its AI-TH RV concept at CES 2024, which caught the attention of Hydra Design Labs. The two companies will form a partnership to help bring the startup concept to fruition. As a result, the two companies finalized the final design alongside Pininfarina, the AC Future which was teased in December 2024, before CES 2025 in Las Vegas.

Today, we learned that the initial concept has evolved into three different products that AC Future intends to bring to market, starting with the AI-THU seen below.

  • The future of AC

AC Future presents its sustainable home collection at CES

With design partner Pininfarina, AC Future presented its new product line based on the original AT-TH concept, which debuted last year. These three products sit on the same platform, providing off-grid capabilities in different ways.

AC Future's market entry will begin with the AI-THU, or AI Transformer Home Unit (seen above). AI-THu is an AI-powered sustainable smart home that expands to provide 400 square feet of indoor living space, including a 40-square-foot outdoor patio. It is built on a standing platform, making it the only permanent home of the three.

The main living space inside can also be used as a lounge, office, or extra bedroom. The master bedroom, accessed privately, has expandable wardrobe storage. The AI-THu comes equipped with home AI technology, solar panels, energy storage, a water generator, and advanced appliances and starts at $98,000 for the base model.

In addition to the AI-THU, AC Future, and Pininfarina also unveiled the AI-THt (AI Transformer Home Trailer), as seen above. The AI-THt is a 24-foot convertible travel trailer that, like its THU sibling, expands to 400 square feet of interior living space using the company's patented technology. Be sure to watch it unfold in the video below. Via press release:

Unlike conventional trailer homes, the AI-THt does not require a front cab, resulting in a spacious and high interior that doubles in size when fully extended. The exterior design of the AI-THt interprets the architectural design elements, combining aesthetic sophistication with aerodynamic efficiency to improve drag performance and range. The result is a soft, mobile living space that blends harmoniously with its surroundings.

AC Future hasn't shared pricing for the AI-THt, but it looks like it could do well when it comes to success and trying to compete with similar trailers from other startups like Pebble and Lightship.

  • The future of AC

Finally, the startup's third mobility product, the AI-THd (AI TransformerHome Drivable), which we reported on last month. Pininfarina finished the original design for the company's AC Future presentation at CES 2024, but it has evolved into a smart, ample, drivable version of that original concept.

The company said it expanded the AI-THd from a small recreational vehicle to a spacious living space, providing future customers with more off-grid freedom and the modularity to set up a mobile home in minutes of parking.

The startup says the interior will feature flexible seating where the cockpit can easily be converted into a mobile office or second bedroom. AI-THd will have AI-enabled smart technology in the other two models detailed above. There are no prices for this electric RV yet, but AC Future co-CEO Laura Czarnecki shared some production timelines:

We look forward to showcasing our AI-THu, AI-THt, and AI-THd designs and AI technologies during the upcoming 2025 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Customers can begin pre-ordering our products, with first deliveries expected in Q4 2026. Our team believes these products will revolutionize housing and provide an AI-enabled solution to America's affordable and sustainable housing challenges. Pininfarina designs will provide customers with modern, luxurious design complimented by our in-house intelligent AI technology, enhancing the living experience for everyone.

If you're at CES, you can see the launch products in the North Hall, Booth 10515. Reservations for all three products are now open again. See more in AC Future's video below:
