Volkswagen will be released Access to Tesla Supercharger to its EV customers this summer, when the adapters will be ready for current CCS-equipped vehicles.
“We get access to the network in June/Julyif we have an official VW adapter,” VW spokesman Mark Gillies told PCMag at CES 2025 this week, adding that the automaker is still lining up suppliers to produce it. Note that this timeline only applies to the VW brand himself; Gillies could not talk about the timing of the other major VW Group brands.

The three VW Group brands currently selling EVs in the US—VW, Audi, and Porsche—have announced Supercharger access and storage Tesla NACS adoption port in December 2023, alongside the new Scout product. Scout doesn't plan to deliver its first vehicles until 2027.
This makes the VW Group brands among the last to confirm the switch to the NACS port, as almost every major EV brand in the US market has now done so. But it's also one of the few non-Tesla products that already exists using a large public charging network in the US—by way of Electrify America.

Electrify America was formed as part of a deal to cheat VW diesel, obliging the automaker to spend $2 billion on charging infrastructure. VW said Electrify America will work to add NACS connectors to its charging stations this year, while continuing to use CCS connectors.
When it first announced the introduction of the Supercharger, VW said they would start selling cars with it NACS boats in 2025. So far the only automaker to do so is Hyundai, with the facelifted 2025 Ioniq 5. But it charges slower through NACS port compared to CCS port.
