California-based Enteligent, a developer of solar energy optimization and solar EV charging technology, has raised $6 million to increase sales of its photovoltaic module energy optimizers and its DC-to-DC bidirectional EV chargers.
The funding round was led by Taronga Ventures, an Australian company focused on emerging technologies.
Intelligent is providing what it says is the world's first long-term 25 kW DC-to-DC EV charger to a major transportation company to power its newly electrified fleet. It is also pre-selling its solar-powered TLCEV T1 EVSE, which delivers up to 12.5 kW of direct DC charging to the site.
The company claims energy savings of up to 20% with this and other Intelligent DC-to-DC models that eliminate DC-to-AC-to-DC conversion losses for AC-powered EVSEs. Intelligent's NMax PV module power optimizers feature fast shutdown safety capabilities to ensure continuous high output for each panel.
“Our mission is to transform energy consumption patterns through the use of more solar power and our innovative technologies to ease society's transition to electrification,” said Intelligent CEO and co-founder Sean Burke.
