Charged EVs | Designing safe battery management systems with HIL simulation tools: White paper

Powered by Chroma.

Optimizing EV efficiency and safety depends on an effective Battery Management System (BMS).
With an automotive BMS, it is important to note that the battery pack is not directly connected to the engine.

Instead, it connects through relays and fuses. Any disconnection or abnormal connection between these components can lead to an unexpected increase in interference. Since the voltage and current flowing from the battery to the vehicle are large and constantly changing, the increased impedance can cause system temperatures to rise and become unstable.

Download this White Paper to learn how Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Testbeds can provide a power pack and isolation simulator that allows users to perform BMS testing easily.
