CMC North America's new, 65L electric trailed air lift is ideal for indoor work, lifting two workers and 500 lbs. of objects reaching a height of over 65 feet – previously unheard of reach for a unit of this size.
It can officially lift a maximum weight of 507 lbs. up to a maximum height of 65 feet (hence, the 65L) and a maximum lateral reach of 34 feet, CMC says its new 65L is an ideal solution for both indoor and outdoor maintenance workers.
To deliver on that promise, CMC says operators can take full advantage of 90 degrees of rotation in their two-person basket, and 180 degrees of turret rotation. The expression, when combined with a small 65L track that allows it to pass through a 36″ man door, will allow operators to reach even the most treacherous work areas.
The new 65L lift is also relatively light. Weighing in at “just” 6,569 lbs., CMC says its 65L can safely work on soft surfaces like finished hardwood, tile, or marble – making it ideal for working inside museums, schools, or shopping centers. The company also claims that the 65L's surprisingly low PSI also reduces potential damage to the landscape or other subsurface areas compared to heavier options.

Eletrek's Take
Although work like this in shopping centers and hospitals is not at the same level as the Bobcat E10e making historic excavations in St. Jerome's, is still a good example of electrification to find new work places where diesel or LPG is not acceptable. . An aerial lift such as a 65L or small electric spider crane means that workers can work inside without polluting the environment, and without disrupting the way people live and work while on the job.
Electricity is the way.
