It is part of the renewal of the GV70 series, which is Genesis' best-selling model line. The electrified GV70 gets a bigger battery and more range—a much-needed improvement, though Genesis isn't talking numbers yet. Electrified 2025 GV70 models come in at an EPA-estimated 236 miles. From the 77.4 kwh up to 84kwh it will certainly push this model past the 250-mile mark.

At nearly 186 inches long, the Electrified GV70 doesn't have any obvious direct competitors, but when it comes to size it dwarfs the Cadillac Lyriq, Acura ZDX, and BMW iX. If it seems small, the XC40 Recharge may be an alternative.

With switch to the Tesla NACS portthe 2026 GV70 Electrified will have native support without the need for an adapter at Tesla Supercharger stations. Genesis says adding NACS will do it more than twice the size of a DC fast charging network available to Genesis EV drivers—for road trips and more. With a larger battery, expect 10-80% charge times to increase slightly from the now ideal 18 minutes (if using a CCS adapter).

Outside, the profile and most of the surface passes, but Genesis has raised the prominence of two horizontal lines of light with new multi-lens array (MLA) lamps, and more than the NACS port has changed slightly in texture. . The petrol versions have a new grille design.

Underneath, the skid plate design is slightly bolder, and the air intake grills have been widened to look a bit more angular at the corner of the car.

The 2025 model's dual-motor propulsion system delivers 429 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, with boost mode providing 483 hp in 10-second bursts. I The Boost mode button has been removed in a different position on the steering wheel for 2026, but we expect those power numbers to remain unchanged.

The GV70 family gets a dynamic boost with a system that better controls the front and rear damping forces when accelerating or decelerating. It continues to use forward-facing cameras to read the road surface and adjust accordingly. Genesis also adds a new Terrain Mode, with special modes for sun, mud, and sand.
