The updated 2026 Genesus Electrified GV70 was unveiled at the LA Auto Show on Wednesday, now equipped with a NACS charging port for access to Tesla Superchargers. In addition to getting more driving range, here's what the new model includes.
After introducing the GV70 three years ago, the SUV is already the most popular Genesis vehicle in North America.
Last March, Genesis launched the all-electrified GV70 in the US. The electric SUV was Hyundai Motor Group's first US-made electric vehicle after production began in Alabama last February.
Less than two years later, it will have to be reviewed already. The 2026 Genesis Electrified GV70 gains more width and sleek new styling. It even comes with a NACS port for Tesla Supercharger charging.
Genesis North America COO Claudia Márquez said the newly designed Electrified GV70 offers “all the utility and interior refinement of a large SUV” without sacrificing the signature Genesis drive.
The front bumper features a redesigned G-Matrix Crest Grille and microlens array (MLA) headlamps, along with the Genesis dual-row headlamps. It also has great ventilation, which adds to its already sporty look.

Genesis added new 19″ and 21″ wheel options. Meanwhile, the rear turn signals have been updated to match the design of the two-row headlights.
The interior of the updated electric SUV has a new 27″ OLED infotainment and driver display screen. Genesis has also improved the car's voice commands.
One of the most important changes is an additional NACS port on the front so drivers can charge from Tesla's extensive Supercharger network. The 2026 Genesis Electrified GV70 will have access to more than 36,000 NACS and CCS DC fast chargers, doubling the number available to current EV drivers.
Powered by a larger 84 kWh battery (up from 77.4 kWh), the updated 2026 model will offer more range. Although Genesis did not provide specific range numbers, it is expected to add only a few miles, similar to the new Hyundai IONIQ 5.
The 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5, with an 84 kWh battery, has a range of up to 318 miles, up from 303 previously. The current range of the 2025 Genesis GV70 is 236 miles, but the new model is expected to get closer to 250 miles.
The 2026 Genesis Electrified GV70 will begin arriving at dealerships in the first half of 2025. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to launch.
