The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) has released a “Top 10” list of solar and storage priorities for President-elect Trump and the 119th Congress – here's what they're looking for.

SEIA President and CEO Abigail Ross Hopper says:
This is a guide for the Trump administration and Congress to implement strong solar and storage policies and realize their vision of a dominant American energy sector.
Implementing this agenda will empower the United States to control the solar supply chain and ensure that American communities benefit from solar and storage jobs and economic growth.

Electrek's Take
It's worth looking at SEIA's priorities (it doesn't help) because it's so smart. SEIA hasn't budged from its core values or stance, but it's clear, impressive, and “speaks Republican.” (And it turns some Republican arguments against renewables on their head.) It's a proactive organization that knows it needs government support — or, at the very least, a lack of obstruction — for the US solar and storage industry to continue to thrive. .
While the renewable industry has great policy support under the Biden administration, which has led to record growth, SEIA is knowledgeable enough to reveal that the US solar industry grew 128% under Trump's first term in office, reaching 100 gigawatts (GW) of total installed capacity.
But now we're dealing with a pro-fossil energy secretary nominee who thinks climate change is a hoax, so now is the right time for SEIA to release a public solar and storage wish list. Don't ask, don't get – there's a helluva lot at stake.
