Charged EVs | First Student and Westville School District in Illinois to deploy 15 electric school buses


Cincinnati-based school transportation provider First Student and Westville School District recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the upcoming shipment of 15 electric school buses, including 14 Model C IC buses from US manufacturer IC Bus, and one Model Little Bird. of type A, produced. The buses will be charged using the First Charge, First Student overhead system which eliminates the need to plug into the tunnels. Funding for these vehicles was provided by the EPA Clean School Bus Program.
