A Tesla Cybertruck caught fire at a Tesla dealership in North Decatur, Georgia, near Atlanta. Local authorities are blaming the fire on a battery.
The incident was not reported much because it happened just a few hours before the Cybertruck explosion that had been announced in front of the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas on January 1st.
While the Las Vegas crash involved explosives similar to those behind the Cybertruck and may have been intentional, foul play is not suspected in this other incident.
It happened on the morning of December 31st at the Tesla store on Church Street in Decatur, Georgia.
The fire was quickly extinguished, but not before it destroyed the entire interior of the car as well as the bed and tires.

Local news reported that firefighters believe the battery pack started the fire, but the investigation is ongoing.
As we previously reported, there have been a few other incidents of Cybertrucks catching fire in the past few months, but they were after accidents.
Yesterday's Cybertruck explosion appears to be foul play – although the circumstances are still under investigation.
Electric vehicle batteries can sometimes burn out, but statistically, they don't burn out at a higher rate than gasoline-powered cars.
We recently reported that Tesla has a problem with the Cybertruck's battery pack. Tesla called the problem a “cell dent.” Tesla has had to replace the battery packs in many Cybertrucks, including some that are sitting on their lot, but there is no evidence that the problem is connected to this particular fire at this time.
Tesla has yet to issue a service bulletin or recall regarding this issue despite replacing several customers' battery packs over it.
