Irish/UK technology company Go Eve has received European CE Mark certification for its DockChain EV charging technology.
DockChain enables multiple vehicles to connect to a single fast charger through a series of interconnected charging stations. Each car in series charges one at a time, at full power.
The DockChain charger offers power ratings between 150 and 400 A, allowing charging speeds of up to 320 kW for compatible vehicles. DockChain's software manages charging times based on customizable criteria such as which vehicle arrives first, battery level prioritization, priority parking spots and energy pricing or cost optimization.
The system is suitable for vehicles and site operators who need to integrate EV charging into existing parking systems. The modular design allows the system to expand as EV adoption grows, while the quick source charger can be located away from the parking lot, saving space and reducing wear and tear. The software notifies the driver or operator when any EV in the system is scheduled to finish charging.
“This certification comes as Go Eve prepares for its next funding round in 2025,” said Hugh Sheehy, CEO of Go Eve. “Measuring EV charging requires more than just hardware. It includes estimating infrastructure costs, grid capacity, electricity prices, and operational requirements. “
