The city of Szczecinin, Poland has signed an agreement with Polish electric bus manufacturer Solaris to purchase four 12-meter Urbino 12 and 10-meter Urbino 18 electric buses.
These vehicles will increase Szczecin's fleet of Solaris buses to a total of 30. They will be operated by the city's public transport company, Szczecińskie Przedsiębiorstwo Autobusowe.
The buses are equipped with Solaris High Energy batteries, which will be charged using the pantograph and chargers installed. They will use Solaris' eSConnect vehicle management system and will also have a driver alcohol detection system integrated with the city's Central Urban Transport Management System.
