Japanese company Yokogawa Test & Measurement has released its DLM3000HD series of compact, high-definition oscilloscopes to develop the next generation of automotive electronics.
Positioned as a high-performance version of the DLM3000 series, the DLM3000HD series expands Yokogawa's oscilloscope lineup with two models: the 500 MHz DLM3054HD and the 350 MHz DLM3034HD. This delivers higher resolution for more accurate waveform analysis, and includes features designed to improve usability and simplify setup.

The oscilloscopes support multi-channel measurement, and improved resolution in the vertical axis provides greater measurement accuracy for next-generation electronic devices using silicon-carbide (SiC) technology, according to the company. The 12-bit precision resolution is 16 times higher than the existing DLM3000 series, allowing the detection of minute changes in high-speed signals, such as when switching.
The auto-set function of the bus analysis, which automatically sets the correct bit rate and threshold level, can now be used with pre-sampled waveforms. The automatic setting can be used for low frequency signals, improving the efficiency of motor bus development and testing.
The DLM3000HD series doubles the data storage capacity of the DLM3000 series, holding up to 1 billion data points. In addition to doubling the number of waveforms that can be searched and compared, a single device can measure the behavior of braking systems and other equipment at a sampling rate of up to 2.5 GS/s in a few milliseconds, improving efficiency.
