Germany Institute for Standation (Din) and the German Commission of Fields, Electronic & Information Technologies (DKE) published the new standard of the EU-Wide Digital Battery Passport, which start working on February 2027.
Standard, Din De Spec 99100, “Requirements for battery passport data,” provides effective passport leadership, which will draw data for battery life cycles to help comparing their performance.
DIN DEKE Spec 99100 defines the data attributes to be included in a digital battery based on EU battery requirements and voluntarily. This can include information about the battery and the manufacturer, battery and composition, functional and stability, working conditions in the disability of material materials, and the battery carbon footprint.
Din De Spec 99100 forms a community-sponsored battery for Consortium's “EU Battery Passport Battery,” The public Guide supports the battery passport functionality in accordance with the EU battery requirements. The Battery Pass Consortium is partnerships of 11 international organizations from the industry, technology and science, led by UK-Based Desent Advisor System.

The Battery Pass Consortium also published the renewed and aligned version of long data “on its website, where the needs are sorted by different battery categories.
