Phillip Roberts works as a Field Service Technician at Plug. His role involves repairing and diagnosing hydrogen fuel cells while ensuring customer satisfaction. “I work directly with our customers to make sure we meet their expectations,” explained Phillip.
A trip to connect
Phillip's entry into the Plug was unexpected but rewarding. After working in home delivery, she applied for several jobs and met Plug. Initially skeptical, he researched the company after receiving the call. “When I realized that Plug was legal, I saw great job opportunities, insurance benefits, and room for growth if I didn't mind the slow pace.”
Overcoming Challenges
In his first month, Phillip was confronted with contaminated hydrogen from a supplier that shut down 36 trucks. He changed 21 stacks in two months and received valuable guidance from experienced professionals. “They taught me how to avoid leaks and solve problems properly. Together, we made the site updated and functional.” Thankfully, this is rare.
Happiness With Hydrogen
Phillip is passionate about hydrogen energy. “It is a clean, flexible, and high-energy non-emission energy source. There is no limit to what we can achieve.”
Philosophy of Life
Inspired by his father, Phillip believes in doing his best and never giving up. “Things will not always go your way, but you need to find solutions and keep moving forward,” he said.
Balancing Work and Fun
For Phillip, work is more than just completing tasks. He values teamwork and creating a fun work environment. “We do the work, but we also make sure we have fun and support each other. Some days, we even hang out with a group to play Call of Duty and have a good time.”
Phillip's quick thinking, willingness to learn, and positive attitude make him an integral part of the Plug team, driving success and innovation every day.
