Honda's electric SUV is already one of the best-selling EVs in the US. After its best sales month to date, Honda has now sold more than 25,000 Prologue models in the US.
Honda Prologue electric SUV sells for 25,000 in November
The all-electric Honda Prologue is already the fifth best-selling EV in the US in Q3, behind the Tesla Model Y, Model 3, Cybertruck, and Ford Mustang Mach-E.
After two big sales months in October and November, Honda's electric SUV is taking the US by storm. Last month, Honda sold more than 6,800 Prologue SUVs, a 66% jump from the 4,100 sold in October and surpassing its previous record of 5,401 in August 2024.
As of November, Honda has now sold 25,132 Prologue models in the US this year. That's a stark contrast to not selling a single EV in the US last year. Honda started delivering Prologue models as early as March 2024.
Honda's electric SUV outsold many rivals last month, including the Hyundai IONIQ 5, which sold 4,989 units in November.
Powered by GM's Ultium platform, the electric Honda Prologue has a range of up to 296 miles. While the platform supports the latest Chevy, Cadillac, and GMC EV models, Honda has injected its own unique styling, technology, and branding to help set it apart.
With multi-link front and rear, Honda promises the electric SUV gives you that “sporty” feeling behind the wheel. It also includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which GM has abandoned.
The 2024 Honda Prologue starts at $47,400, but with a $7,500 federal tax credit, the electric SUV can be purchased for as little as $39,900 (excluding destination charge).

Meanwhile, Honda's flagship brand Acura sold 1,317 ZDX models in November, its best sales month since launch.

Despite its slow start, Honda is making a name for itself in the US EV market. Honda proves that the demand for electric cars is not “reducing” or “cooling off.” All it takes is the right model at an affordable price.
Honda is not either. New EVs, such as Chevy's electric Equinox and Kia's EV9, are seeing strong demand because they offer long-range capabilities, new advanced technology, and an affordable price.
With new electric models like the updated 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 and the $35,000 Chevy Equinox LT arriving, it will be interesting to see how Honda's electric SUV stacks up over the next few months.
