The electric car we have been waiting for is about to arrive. Kia has confirmed that the EV4 will officially join its lineup in 2025 as it expands into affordable EVs.
Kia introduced the EV4 last October as part of its new low-cost EV lineup. The EV4 concept was shown alongside the EV3 and EV5, two small electric SUV crossovers.
Despite its four-door design, Kia calls the EV4 “a completely new type of EV sedan” with an expanded color and bold proportions. With the added roof spoiler, it almost has a racecar-like feel. However, as part of Kia's new mass-market EV lineup, the starting price is expected to be significantly lower than that of a regular sports car.
After releasing November sales figures on Monday, Kia confirmed that the EV4 will officially arrive in 2025. A Kia executive said the company plans to “strengthen our electric vehicle lineup with EV4 and EV5” next year.
Kia launched the EV5 in China last November with prices starting at around $20,000 (149,800 yuan). In overseas markets, such as Australia, it costs around $57,000.

After the domestic launch this summer, the EV3 is also launching in new markets. Kia has opened orders for the EV3 in Korea, starting at just $30,700 (KRW 42.08 million). With incentives, the compact electric SUV can be purchased for less than $30,000 (KRW 39.95 million).
Kia launched the EV3 in Europe last month, starting at around $38,000 (36,000 euros). In the UK, where it has been available since August, the EV3 starts at $42,500 (£32,995).

With the EV4 coming in 2025, Kia will complete its “EVs for all” strategy with entry-level electric sedans, crossovers, and SUVs. The new EV3, EV4, and EV5 will join Kia's EV6 and EV9 larger three-row lineup to create a comprehensive EV lineup with prices ranging from $30,000 to $80,000.

The EV4 was spotted testing in the US last month ahead of its official debut. The hatchback model has also been caught in the wild. While it may be aimed at Europe, it was tested on American roads last month.
The entry-level EV sedan will feature Kia's latest ccNC infotainment system, which includes two 12.3″ navigation and driver display screens.

Kia will introduce the EV4 next year, with deliveries starting at the end of 2025. Depending on the market, prices are expected to start around $30,000 to $40,000.
Kia is expected to launch the EV3 in the US market next year. A low-cost electric crossover has just hit US roads. It will probably start around $30,000 to $35,000.
With new models coming out, such as the EV4, EV3, and EV9, Kia aims to sell 1.6 million electric vehicles by 2030.
