Kia's EV4 looks like the electric car we've been waiting for [Video]

As it debuts, Kia's new EV4 has been spotted testing in the Alps, offering a glimpse of what could be the brand's next big hit. At first glance, this electric car could be the one we've been waiting for. Check out the video below.

It's been a year since Kia introduced the EV4 during its first annual EV Day. The EV4 was shown alongside Kia's new affordable EV range, including the small EV3 and EV5 SUVs.

Kia calls the EV4 “a completely new type of EV sedan.” Its unique lines set it apart from others in its category.

Although its four-door design suggests it's a sedan, Kia says the EV4 is in a league of its own. Kia's new EV4 has the “Opposites United” design theme that is reflected in its new models, but the EV4 is still different.

The low, wide stance, long silhouette, and extra roof spoiler make it feel like a sports car, but Kia has added its own unique style.

Kia's new electric car has been spotted many times before its debut. A hatchback version was also revealed, which is likely to be aimed at the European market.

As the test ends, a new video appears CarSpyMedia gives us our best look yet at Kia's entry-level electric car.

The first thing you'll notice is the vertical headlight design that peeks out of the hood. In terms of appearance, Kia's new EV4 electric car will retain the design shown in the concept from last October.

As the EV4 approaches the curve, it looks much cleaner than the concept, with smooth angles. Although the background is still heavily covered in the video, it is expected to be very similar to the concept. Finally, you can even see Kia's new electric car pulling a trailer as it slides down the hill.

Inside, the EV4 will feature Kia's new infotainment system, ccNC, with dual 12/3″ driver display and navigation screens. It also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Like its new models, the interior is expected to have a minimalist design.

Kia is expected to officially launch the production version by the end of 2024, and deliveries will begin next year.

Although Kia has not announced pricing, the EV4 is expected to start around $35,000 to $40,000.

At that price, it will be among the most affordable EVs in its class, undercutting Tesla's Model 3 (~$40,000) and Hyundai's IONIQ 6 (~$38,000).

With many automakers targeting the mid-size SUV segment, Kia's EV4 could find a market with those looking for small, affordable electric vehicles.
