The most powerful, sporty electric SUV is coming soon. The range-topping Kia EV9 GT will feature several upgrades over the current GT-Line model, including a new interior design. Check out the video below to see how the interior of the upcoming GT model compares to the current GT lineup.

Kia's first three-row electric SUV has been the most popular to date, helping lead to consecutive months of sales in the US.

With another 2,388 sold in the US in August, Kia EV9 sales reached nearly 13,900 in the first eight months of 2024.

In April, Kia confirmed that a new GT model will top the EV9 lineup in January 2025. Despite its large body, the EV9 GT will be “more powerful” and capable of sprinting from 0 to 62 mph ( 0 to 100 km/h. ) in four seconds.

Kia said power will come from a “high-output” dual-motor AWD system, providing quick acceleration. It will also include reinforced suspension and electronic braking for better handling at high speeds.

Before its launch, we have seen the upgraded electric SUV in the wild with new design features like a sharper bumper. Now we get a better look at how the interior of Kia's new EV9 GT will compare to the current GT-Line model.

The GT logo has also been moved up top, with Kia's GT-Line logo on the back.

Kia changed the headliner on the GT model to leather, while the GT-Line variant features mesh. The seats also seem to be thicker to handle the higher forces.

Other than that, the interior design seems to be the same. The EV9 GT model is expected to offer further improvements to the interior design, such as the steering wheel and dash.
