Lucid Motors ( LCID ) is celebrating a major milestone after the first electric SUV Gravity rolled off the production line at its Casa Grande plant in Arizona on Thursday.
Lucid is building the first models of the Gravity SUV for delivery
While the first pre-production models were built at Lucid's factory in July, these are the first customer models ready for delivery.
Lucid posted a video (Check it out below) on social media of the first Gravity electric SUV rolling off the assembly line in Arizona. The EV manufacturer said its “best-in-class SUV” is now officially produced in Arizona.
Lucid Gravity “heralds the beginning of a new era of electric SUVs” with over 440 miles of driving range. Lucid's three-row electric SUV also packs up to 120 cubic feet of cargo space. That's more than enough for you and six of your closest friends or family members (and their luggage).
Lucid opened orders for the Gravity SUV last week. The first model, the Gravity Grand Touring, is available to order starting at $94,900.

The promised “under $80,000” touring model will be available in late 2025, starting at $79,900. CEO Peter Rawlinson said Gravity “represents a huge leap forward in Lucid's world-leading technology and design.”
Even with more than 440 miles of driving range, the electric SUV's battery is “just over half the size of some of our battery-hungry competitors,” according to Rawlinson.
The Gravity is Lucid's second EV to enter production, after the Air sedan. Although Lucid hasn't sold as many Air models as originally expected, it's coming off its third straight quarter of record deliveries.
With Gravity joining its lineup, Lucid looks set to build momentum for the coming year. In 2026, Lucid plans to launch its new mid-range EV platform. According to Rawlinson, the first model, a mid-size electric SUV, will be aimed “right in the heart” of the Tesla Model Y area.
