Putting innovation and collaboration into action, Ballard Power Systems supported our partner MCV's zero-emissions and fuel cell journey from the factory floor to full fleet use by providing comprehensive, hands-on training to the bus manufacturer's technical team in workshops centered on two continents.
Presenting educational sessions at the MCV production site in Egypt and the Ballard Academy training center in Denmark, the program included factory training for the MCV production site and training on fuel cell fundamentals and certification, followed by advanced maintenance training.
Working closely with MCV engineers and experts, the Ballard Academy team shared practical knowledge, operational insights, and real-world best practices to support the introduction of fuel cell technology into the MCV vehicle arena – improving customer value by sharing knowledge, developing key skills, and completing comprehensive skill development.
This kind of two-way collaboration is at the core of the Ballard Academy – supporting customers not only with technology, but with the skills and confidence needed to operate and maintain fuel cell systems reliably throughout their entire life cycle – turning Ballard's decades of fuel cell innovation into operational excellence.
The Ballard Academy exists to empower operators and OEM partners to operate, operate, maintain, and measure hydrogen fuel systems safely and independently through high-quality, life-cycle, aligned, and digitally enabled technical training.
From warranty deployment and post-warranty recertification, Ballard Academy's structured programs include expertly designed curriculum, hands-on system simulators, and automated LMS delivery to ensure consistent global capacity development. The platform modules are designed for technicians, bus operators, and engineering teams to support hydrogen fuel cell-powered fleets in the field.
