The 2025 Polestar 2 lineup narrows to just one configurationdiscount the less expensive, higher-range models.
First spotted by Car and Driver, the 2025 Polestar 2 will be available exclusively Performance Pack spec. That means the single-motor base version, and the non-Executive dual-motor version, are history.

The single-motor version, which switched from front-wheel drive to rear-wheel drive as part of the 2024 Polestar 2 refresh, was the longest-range configuration, with an EPA-rated 320 miles from the 82-kwh battery pack. All-wheel drive models have a 78-kwh pack, and 2024 models have a range of 276 miles in non-Performance trim. Performance Package models were available measured at 247 miles in 2024, so the Polestar 2 is likely to see an effective range reduction in 2025.
The Performance Pack includes manually adjustable Öhlins monotube dampers, upgraded brakes, and Continental SportContact 6 performance tires, but in a test run of the 2024 Polestar 2, we found it wasn't as balanced or comfortable on its own as the rear. – wheel drive version. In 2025, output reverses it's 469hpPerformance Pack models made before 2024, while retaining the maximum 546 lb-ft of torque from that model year.

In addition to the Performance Pack, and the Pilot Pack of driver aids that were standard on 2024 all-wheel drive models, the 2025 Polestar 2 comes standard with the Climate and Plus Packs. But this configuration it costs $66,200a big step up from the $51,300 base price of the 2024 single-car model.
Green Car Reports has contacted Polestar for comment and was told the automaker is committed to becoming a three-car company by combining the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4.
