Hyundai's first three-row electric SUV is on its way. The IONIQ 9 has been spotted in a little camo, revealing new design details as Hyundai prepares for its official debut later this year.

Hyundai will open the doors to its new $7.6 billion EV plant in Georgia as soon as this month.
The updated 2025 IONIQ 5 will be the first car to roll off the assembly line. With more space, better styling, and a Tesla NACS charging port, Hyundai is expected to carry the momentum into 2025.
Later this year, Hyundai will introduce its first three-row electric SUV, the IONIQ 9. Hyundai confirmed in August that the large electric SUV will be built alongside the new IONIQ 5 in Georgia.
We first looked at the three-row electric SUV after Hyundai revealed the SEVEN concept at the LA Auto Show in November 2021. Three years later, Hyundai is preparing to officially reveal the production model.
Hyundai IONIQ 9 drops camo as it nears official launch
Hyundai's three-row electric SUV will be called the IONIQ 9 instead of the IONIQ 7 (SEVEN concept), as previously thought, which elevates its status as a flagship model.
Before its debut this year, the IONIQ 9 was spotted testing on US roads (you can watch the video below). However, new photos of the IONIQ 9 with a bit of camo surfaced, giving us a closer look at the SUV.
Images from NewCarScoops reveal the LED light bar shown in the 2021 vision. You can see the back side is also rounder and more rounded than shown in previous pictures and videos.
As it approaches production, the IONIQ 9 looks more like a concept shown in 2021. You can expect to see Hyundai's new design elements reflected in updated vehicles such as the 2025 IONIQ 5 and Sante Fe models.
With Kia's first three-row EV9 electric SUV starting to heat up in the US, Hyundai is hoping to match the success.
Although Hyundai hasn't revealed pricing, the IONIQ 9 is expected to start around $55,000, the same as the EV9. The top trim can cost upwards of $75,000 when fully loaded. It is also expected to have a range of more than 300 miles. The Kia EV9 has an EPA-estimated range of up to 304 miles based on the same E-GMP platform that the IONIQ 9 will use.
