Isuzu offers Red Bull electrified wings – the popular beverage company is the first to officially put the production model of its new 2025 Isuzu NRR-EV mid-size electric box truck into operation in North America.
Deployed by Red Bull North America, these first customer Isuzu NRR-EV trucks are busy delivering cans of Red Bull products throughout Southern California with zero emissions, marking the first time a truck with a cab/cabover box has been sold. brand in the US can make such a claim.

The NRR-EV is available in a number of different battery configurations, from three 20 kWh battery packs (60 kWh total) to nine 20 kWh battery packs, with five and seven pack options in between. The nine-pack version is good for up to 235 miles with a 19,500 lb. range. GVWR. The batteries, regardless of configuration, send power to the 150 kW (200 hp) electric motor with 380 lb-ft. torque available at 0 rpm.
For the “Red Bull” project, Isuzu trucks with a battery capacity of 100 kWh, equipped with a lightweight, all-aluminum 6-bay, the design of the vehicle maintains its load capacity. The NRR-EV's 19,500 lb. chassis. GVWR (Class 5), combined with a lightweight body and a “big enough” battery description provides Red Bull delivery drivers a maximum payload, 9,000 lb.
Isuzu began assembling NRR-EV trucks at its Charlotte, Michigan assembly plant in August 2024. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin nationwide in Q1 2025.

Isuzu series trucks are everywhere – and for good reason. They are reliable, affordable, and have a national network of GM dealers to support them. I'm a big fan of these trucks, and can't wait to sample the electric version behind the wheel.
