Porsche is there recalling 2,941 electric Macans because their headlights are too bright, which can reduce the visibility of oncoming drivers and increase the risk of a crash.
Remembering includes 2024 and 2025 models Porsche Macan Electric built between Mar. 15, 2024, and Nov. 04, 2024. The headlight control software in the affected vehicles was programmed to European standards instead of US standards, resulting in emissions exceeding the light levels specified in Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, according to NHTSA.
