ZEEKR expands into the EU with the launch in Norway of two EV models

Taxes aside, Chinese EV brand ZEEKR continues to expand its global presence by sharing launch plans in another European market – Norway. The first release will consist of two high-end ZEEKR models, which will be available to customers in Norway shortly,

Geely-owned EV ZEEKR continues to deliver on its promise to expand into new markets across Europe. The first deliveries of ZEEKR EVs began in Sweden and the Netherlands in December 2023, with several EU markets to follow.

The European automaker's current initiative consists of three ZEEKR Centers in Stockholm, Gothenburg in Sweden, and Zeist in the Netherlands. Those showrooms currently sell ZEEKR's flagship shooting brake, as well as the X SUV.

The young EV automaker has shared bold plans to eventually become the leading premium brand in Europe, but that will be a tall order given the number of local competitors and the recently approved tariffs on Chinese imports.

Nevertheless, ZEEKR continues to grow towards a more significant product presence overseas, and its next market will be Norway.

ZEEKR is launching the X and 001 EVs in Norway this month

According to a ZEEKR press release this morning, it will be launched in Norway this month with the aforementioned 001 and X EVs. The Chinese carmaker described Norway as an important strategic milestone in its global expansion plans and the next natural step following a successful launch in nearby markets. ZEEKR Europe's Chief Commercial Officer, Lothar Schupet, elaborated:

We are pleased to present our product in Norway. This is a very important market for us, and our high-quality electric vehicles will be matched by a first-class customer experience, delivered through our new dealer network – ZEEKR's first in Europe. Norway is one of the most advanced EV markets in the world, and I can't wait to see our first EVs on the road here before the end of this year.

Schupet refers to ZEEKR's new selected network of EV dealers, which will start Premium Cars Stor-Oslo this month and will be followed by other dealerships in major cities in the future. A network of authorized service centers and workshops will support ZEEKR sales partners.

ZEEKR noted that to mark its launch in Norway, it is offering customers 0.99% financing on the new 001 or X EV, which will be available to order later this month. Every ZEEKR vehicle comes standard with a five-year/100,000 km vehicle warranty, which can be extended for a further 5 years/100,000 km,

ZEEKR also shared that it is partnering with Plugsurfing, which will give its European customers access to more than 800,000 charging points across the continent through the ZEEKR Charge app. Deliveries of the X and 001 EVs are expected to begin in Norway before the end of the year.
