The joy of learning: Kids and EVs at Plug In America's Ride and Drive event

In collaboration with the Children's Centersupport from dedicated EV enthusiasts, as well VinFast Auto Group, Plug In America hosted an unforgettable ride and drive at the Full STEAM Ahead event in Watts, CA, on June 1, 2024. The event focused on educating families, especially those with young children, about the many benefits of electricity. vehicles (EVs) with engaging and interactive activities.

We have organized a fun EV scavenger hunt, giving kids the chance to explore EVs and let their imaginations run wild with fun features like honking and turning the steering wheel. The children also thought about what to pack in the frunk (formerly the trunk) when they go on vacation.

One of the highlights of the day is the fun children's car show. The Children's Institute challenges children, with the help of their families, to get creative and build cardboard cars and bring them to the event.

The event saw strong participation from various community organizations, including the Los Angeles Police and Fire Departments, which added to the strong community spirit. Families came together as they learned about EVs, and the joy and excitement of the children was palpable.

The Full STEAM Ahead Event was not only educational but also a gathering of neighbors and everyone who attended seemed to enjoy it. Thanks to everyone who participated and made the day a success!
